I assume they are 1/4” diameter washers for the screws and NOT 1/4” thick? Hoping to order from Hot Shot before the sale ends next week.
Thanks for the support! Happy to help you whenever you need it.

I have a very non professional grade install video that I will be editing and posting before too long on these lights haha But in the mean time please hit me up (or anyone for that matter) if you need help on install! I have installed these about 20+ times now between swapping my own lights up as well as helping others. Its easy once you get into it!

When I put mine on, I put the front of the truck on ramps. Removed the skid plate and the little air dams. Getting the factory pods off was the hardest part. Putting the DD pods on was much easier. Tip, put spacers on as you install the pods. If you don't, you won't be able to adjust the lights for height.
Can you elaborate on this a bit?

I watched a video and a guy did it in a field with some hand tools down south, can’t imagine it’s that difficult. You ever use spacers when installing? Seems odd that DD would supply a kit that needs “extra” customer supplied items to allow it to function as intended.

I gotta assume that the spacers are 1/4” diameter and install between the pod brackets and the mounting location on the truck. It’s meant to create distance between the truck and pod bracket to allow the light to be adjusted up/down/left/right. If not the pod would press against the fog light hole therefore not allowing adjustment.

It really is not hard. If you remove the skid plate, air dam pieces, and use a small socket or even a screwdriver with a flexible shaft, it all goes pretty simple.

I did not use spacers. I know some mention that they do but personally Im not sure why as I did not feel the need for it at all. DD's brackets that they supply fit very well and I just adjusted the angle of my fogs to where I needed.

I do know that BD fog lights do need the spacers. I had those previously to test fit and test performance and did end up using spacers on those. All in all DD has been perfect. No issues at all.

What are the fog light details? Diode or Baja? Sport or Pro? How do you like them compared to stock? The yellow works well for snowy roads I assume? Complaints?

The lights are the same as the OP, DD SS3 Pro yellow’s. I keep them on with my headlights which also were upgraded to LED’s and I haven’t been flashed one time in about a month I think. No complaints at all with the lights, just the engineers who decided to make access to changing a fog light, crazy difficult. (I still have my crashbars and have no intention of removing them).. without the bars this is like a 30 minute job. With bars, well…. Took my like 4 hours and a few days on the couch with my bad back.

The stock halogen lights are garbage. These are night and day, they really light up the sides well also, almost like ditch lights. I’m in snow ( and darkness) for 6 months a year, so they are great for added visibility, still haven’t had fog but in the snow they really help.

I’ve seen a few other drivers with yellows that weren’t the pro option, who knows what brand , but I haven’t seen a brighter yellow light on the roads than my own vehicle.

I still have the front rake, no lift, so I wasn’t too concerned with other drivers being blinded by my lights, and as mentioned above I haven’t been flashed as a result. I didn’t use spacers because of this, and I’m glad because they work how I want them and they aren’t hurting other people on the road. If I was lifted or had the leveling kit I would for sure need to point them down because they would for sure be a problem for other drivers.

hope this info helps, let me know if you have more questions.
Damn this kinda makes me wish I ordered the pro’s….
though I’m sure the sport will be awesome compared to those stock fogs!

1/4 " thick. I first installed mine without putting a spacer between where the bracket gets mounted to the truck. I was unable to get enough adjustment to keep the fogs from blinding oncoming traffic. The spacers allow me aim the lights a little lower

I just ordered mine. The spacer goes on the top only I would assumed from reading to angle down? Any pictures of the system w/spacers.

I put the spacers on the top and bottom for more adjustment room. I am super pleased with my lights.

Test fit one of mine (SS3 Pro SAE fog) - very bright (left) vs stock Lariat LED (right) but the aiming is rough. Once the brackets are in place you can't reach the side bolts to loosen or lock down any adjustments. I'm guessing people are using spacers in front of the brackets to push screis the screws rearwards to access them while on the truck.

Any aiming advice is appreciated.

Just did this past weekend. My vote - Remove bumper - just a few extra bolts and two harness clips. Much easier to uninstall old and re-install. Super bright - I have the Max. Just need to see if I am blinding anyone b/c adjustment is impossible with bumper on truck.

My DD SS3 Pro/yellow/fogs came in from @HotShotOffroad today!! I managed to install them also!! To do so I jacked the front of the truck up, removed the XLT skid plate and laid on the ground and was able to reach everything. Took about 30 minutes a side to remove and replace. I only used a 1/4” ratchet with a T25 bit and my trusty Black Diamond head lamp. The 3 screws you can see are removed fairly easy. However the upper and most outboard screws are NOT easy to reach. I actually went by feel, once I was on the screw head I just kept at it until it was loose enough to use my fingers to get it out. Once the new lights were in place I was able to see to install everything pretty well. I totally see the need for spacers, my fogs are pointed pretty high, too high. Tomorrow I’ll get spacers and revisit them…

On the bright side the lights are BRIGHT!!! Great coverage, nice and wide. The way they are aimed currently is too high but they almost over take my headlights they are so bright. Can’t wait for a snow storm to try these babies out!!

Big fan of Diode Dynamics and Hot Shot Offroad was great to order from, no complaints.

Look-ing Sharp! So happy to hear you like them thus far. Definitely try them out in the snow. We've had some solid snow lately along with heavy fog and let me tell ya; huge game changer in those conditions. We appreciate the support!!
