Picked up a 2020 dealer demo XLT FX4 white truck black package a few weeks ago, she had ~2500 miles on it when I rescued her.

Am going to try to stay #stockish with this truck. love the way it drives in stock form. Maybe a suspension upgrade and tires down the road.

Ditched the sidesteps on day 1

So far have done;

Stubby Jr. antenna
ignition ring thingy
console tray deal
Found a good used set of husky mats locally
I added a kayak transport solution (gone)
Found a huge ass honkin toolbox for the bed, am trying to source a used decked system and ditch the toolbox, and regain some bed space. (toolbox gone)
Deezenuts tailgate damper, i am a fan of the dampness
Ive got an aeroskin 2 on the way (installed)
Decked system

The ladder rack is a werner, as sold by lowes, and I have it listed for sale. I cut ~6" out of the uprights to make it better for our trucks, not so darn tall. no issues, just going another route.

I saw another member use the same rack over their softtopper (maybe it was you?) that cut it down too. Did you make the cuts at the top or bottom? My local Lowes hasn't had them in stock so that I can get my hands on one to see how it's assembled.

Nice, that was not me. I cut them at the top. I cut with a grinder, if you have a band saw, they will turn out better, but mine came out fine. the uprights connect to the top crossmember with the angle bracket, and 2 t-slot nuts in the upright, and 2 in the crossmember.

Thanks. I'm planning on putting a softtopper on and the custom built racks to go over them are all $1000+. I want something I can put my kayaks on when the topper is up and the back is full of camping gear. Like you mentioned, the ladder racks will work great but are a bit tall so this solution seems perfect!
