This is a huge wasp!

This thing flew into my garage minutes ago. Meanwhile outside there are hundreds of dragonfly's and monarch butterflies low flying my yard. I measured the wasp in mid curl cleaning itself. It is roughly 1-1/4" to 1-1/2" length.

Murder Hornet!! Run for your life!! LOL!!

I think that is a hornet, the kind that build the big paper nests. They come around and strip wood off my fence, very interesting to watch and you can hear them chewing the wood, typically not aggressive until they start defending their nest.

These things just hatched and came up all over the city. The sea gulls are having a field day with these.
