In case anyone was wondering the 6” rough country lift does work on the 2wd Rangers with no cutting on the truck. I couldn’t get a straight answer so I took a chance and ordered it and man am I impressed. The only modification I made was cutting off the differential mount on the rear rough country crossmembers so it would mount up without me cutting mine out. I just finished the install and it sits soo much higher than it did with the leveling kit. I need to get it aligned tomorrow then see how it performs.

Interesting. I will be looking forward to your ride review. Got any more pics to share?

so far I’ve only put about ten miles on it because it needed an alignment and I spent yesterday putting the winch on for our colorado trip but it seems to ride pretty well. I took it down the highway and had no issues. I’ll be driving more today so I’ll update tonight. I did go with the upgraded rough country struts as well.

Not an install I'd try to preform myself. I installed my level kit and that was about as much as I would want to take on by myself. Where did you buy and what price tag? I'm seeing $1600 for your kit.

i bought it directly from rough country for that price. Installed the lift in my driveway in about 8 hours with basic tools and installed the winch last night in about 4 but most of that time was spent messing with the wiring.

What winch setup are you using? If you don't mind me asking.

I wonder if their 3.5" would mount up on 2wd? Is that a 3.5 total level and lift or like 3.5" in the front and 1" in the back or something like that?

yes their 3.5” will work on a 2wd. You just won’t use the differential Drop plate it comes with. I believe it’s just like the ready lift sst 3/1. Lifts The front 3-3.5” and then ours 1” blocks in the back. I actually have FX front struts with the ready lift sst spacer already I stalked and FX rear shocks and the Blocks/u bolts for the rear for sale if you are interested.
