This topic may not belong in this part of the forum, but hopefully it gets more attention than from where I had previously posted.

How do I get the amber parking lights (located in the headlight housings) to illuminate when the headlights are on? Simply put, I'd like them to function as they have for years on previous vehicles.
The lamps are a dual filament and work as expected when the headlight switch is in parking light mode, but go off when when switched to headlight mode.

Even with the switch in auto position, they do not work with the headlights on as one would expect.

I sure hope it's not somehow tied to DRL lights, I've followed way too many idiots in the dark with no tailights on at all.

My truck is a 2020 Lariat with the silly row of LED's along the bottom edge of the headights.

The owner's manual is useless on this topic, it very soon may be used for toilet paper!

Looks like the BCM has some pretty promising options using Forscan.

The F150 Forscan list shows 726-24-01 as possibly the configuration

This is one of my questions as well. I would love for them to be enabled. I would take a different course and want to use switchbacks, but I am on the same path regardless with my Lariat.

For me, it is a personal preference, as can be seen below. I like my indicator lights to be illuminated.

But the OP wants his to be on when his headlights are on. I'm just trying to ascertain if it's purely aesthetic since functionally, I don't think it'd make much of a realistic difference.

I apologize. I thought you were asking me. Obviously, my answer was aesthetics. :)

Switchbacks is out of the question for me, besides their cost, I added LED coverage on my Ford extended warranty.
Try pricing a tailight assembly for your Lariat and you'll see why.

I'm aware of the pricing of the assemblies on the headlights and tail lights. I have modded them anyways on previous vehicles. But, I don't buy the extended warranty, so I don't have that hanging over my head. In the same vein as wanting the indicator lights to be on when your headlights are engaged, it all comes down to a personal preference in aesthetics.

Yes Jeff, I went out and looked and the parking lites are on as well as the side marker lites with the headlights on auto. XLT 301a package.

Then you do know that a tail light assembly for my 2020 Lariat retails @ almost $1200.00 each:

Rear, Stop And Flasher Lamp Assembly Part #: 13405
Rear Lamps Usages:
LH, 12/01/2018, TFG Ranger 2019-, BLIS With CTA W/Trailer Lite
For your prices and availability select a dealer

MSRP: $1,181.82 Core Charge: $80.00

And, as I stated in an earlier response, it is indeed a personal preference.

Much as I chose to buy a Lariat and other items in my life.

My approach lites are the parking lites, and my departure lites are my headlights does everyone else have the same? My Rams have always been the headlight's for both.
