Western slope exploration trip

So I have a plan to explore a few days out in the Grand junction area on the 3rd, 4th and 5th. A few trails out there that should be fairly smooth with some desert type scenery. Who may want to join. So far it's just myself and I don't mind if you want to bring a partner or family. More of a fun trip over all.

Unfortunately, time off of work isn't a possibility with the new job, otherwise I would be open to it

That said, I feel like there was a fire near Montrose not too long ago? I highly doubt anything will happen, but given my past experience with Poudre Canyon, I would be wary of flash flooding if the above is true.
