When you say not enough room, do you mean for storage?

I like the idea of the decked but I think it takes so much away from the bed...

What are your build out plans for the inside?

The bed was too cramped with the Decked for either getting into the SP through the bed (hitting my head alot) and/or just keeping stuff in the bed. Just easier to climb into the bed to get stuff without the Decked.

If they sold a Decked that only took up half the bed, I would probably be into that. If I go with some kind of build in the future (not sure what yet), it will only be for half the bed, leaving room to easily get in the bed if needed.

Thank you, I appreciate the clarification. In my kind the decked would be perfect. Having just gone out to my bed though and crouched below my cross bars in the bed I can see how it would be super tight with a floor storage system.


On of the guys I follow on YouTube and insta, softroadingthwest in socials, did a build out of a cabinet and storage on half his bed that turned out pretty nice (for what it is) there are things I would do differently, but it works for him.

He did the build in his driveway with scrape material and basic shop tools...

I'm sure it isn't nearly as nice as a goose gear or the like, but... ?
