Welcome to “MY” great Palmetto State! I was born 20 minutes from Caesar’s Head, live 15 minutes away and am a fun loving, gun loving, Native, Red Voting Carolinian! We have 52 in our family of four siblings., and love one another, thank God!
So, welcome to our world. Just don’t vote to make it another place like where you came from. ?
If you ever come through Cleveland, SC, on Hwy 11, look at the Sunoco Station rocking chairs. I might be there, if my black XLT Super Cab is there!
Used to be some good bootleg stories of those mountains nearby.
Take care, “Yankee”! ?

How do you like these crystal water mountain lakes?
Very nice. I am not one of those who moves into a new state then votes blue. I acclimated to South Carolina. Heres a post I put on FB But I will and have moved out of states that turned blue including Las Vegas and San Diego where I spent 18 and 14 years

Greetings from Charlotte. Moved here 25 years ago last month from Florida. From Texas originally, raised in NE FL. Have been visiting NC - TN all of my life due to family. Children live in SC - Aiken region. Charlotte is a 'sanctuary city', overflowing with people from the NE US and Central America.
Local Media is non stop 'equality for everyone and take your vaccines'. Charlotte and NC have been good to me otherwise. 2019 Lariat is my 4th brand new Ranger since 1988. Two full size Chevrolet C10 pickups prior. Moving Ranger into the midsize category was a smart move on Ford's part.

********************************************

My great aunt, Mary Jordan, originally from Columbus County, NC, was one of the first occupants of Charlotte's very first high rise luxury apartment building when it opened during the fall of 1926. The Addison Building is still in use today as executive office space.

A description as it appeared in the local media:

"The fine new building boasted hot and cold running water, steam heat, a radio attachment for each room, a dining room, room service and a beauty parlor. Behind the building, where the present parking lot is located, Jones built a row of garages for each tenant’s car as well as a gas station and car wash. This latest version of fine urban living was promoted as “The South’s Finest” in a newspaper ad taken out by Jones’ construction company."

As the building appears today:

We moved here after 15 years of San Diego and another 15 or 16 a Las Vegas. I've traveled to many states lived in a few. Born and raised in New Jersey the toxic state. Left as soon as I could never to return. San Diego was nice until it went all blue so I left there and went to Las Vegas and it too is turning blue. South Carolina will never be blue government will never be in our everyday lives. I absolutely love it here. Mild weather the beach super low taxes what's not to like
Born and raised here, left to serve in the USN for 21 years, retired and returned. It is a great place to live, Columbia, not so much, but it is still home. Welcome to SC, it does cost less and we have a lot to do and see.

Welcome, South Carolina, we are getting lots of folks who are fed up with the the wokeness of the blue state failures and outrageous cost to live there.
Enjoy, and again welcome

Amen to that, but strangely, they are becoming South Carolian's best import. These people have seen the horror or socialist rule and seek freedom. Welcome to them all.
