Are the different clips vehicle specific or is this somewhat universal?

I could use these on a testing project for my new Colorado, but I am insure if I would run into issues mounting them?

The clips are vehicle-specific but they are the cheapest part of the system. Depends on the year of your Colorado looking at the Yakima site.

Would those work with a tri-fold tonneau cover? I'd like to put bars over top of the bed that I can remove when not in use, but most of the options that I've seen clamp around the bed, and so are not compatible with a hard cover.

I don't think they are compatible sorry.

I used medium bars. Don’t think it had a huge impact all depends on what you put up there I guess. I don’t really look at mileage unfortunately.

This is a great deal. These pieces would be a little over $400 new.

I've never noticed a big mileage hit with my bars on, but the HD ones are a little loud. The HD SL adapters also work with Yakima's Jetstream bars (I've had both on my baseline towers), so they could be run as well. They aren't as heavy duty as the hd bars, but are quieter.
