I've gone up McClellan Mt trail a few times in the winter. No idea how much snow is up there right now, but in the winter we usually just go as far as we can, and then try to figure out how to turn around.

I'm a bit late to the party but Switzerland Trail by Boulder has been good for me this winter. A couple days after it snows, much of it melts or is cleared out by built rigs. I believe the Colorado 4x4 Recovery may folks do some trail clearing during the winter.
Much of Switzerland is in the sun, so in the sunny/warmer days following snow, it'll clear out pretty well. Bear in mind, the parts that don't get sun can and will get deep. With snow wheeling, definitely go with a friend.
Where are you in Denver? I wheel with a couple local Ranger guys. Would be happy to invite next time we head out.
