The other day I was reading post about quite a few members who had raced other vehicles. I'm curious are there any proven race "settings" that seem to work best for the Rangers? I'm inquiring about 2WD or 4WD for those with 4X4's, rear differential locked, traction control on, certain RPM to rev to while holding the brake, just sport mode or do you use sport mode and shift manually...?
I'm not condoning street racing by any means we all know it's dangerous and obviously illegal just wondering what others have done that worked. I've seen videos online with track testing and the trucks are put in 4WD to make 1/8 mile runs. Appreciate any feedback.!
Thanks,
Ranger Marc

My only advice for track runs, do EVERYTHING the same, every time. it doesn't matter 2wd or 4wd and the diff lock only works on <20mph otherwise it disengages. Most error prone part of the vehicle is the driver... ;)

The converter will take reving at the line so left foot brake, right foot peddle. Make sure the vehicle is warm when you are racing otherwise the computer likes to mess with you.
