We just took delivery of a 2020 Ranger XLT to go along with our 2019 Ranger Lariat already in the stable.

When we arrived home and opened the hood, there was motor oil that looked like it may have sprayed out of the dip stick opening and covered the top of the valve cover and surrounding areas with oil.

Has anyone else seen this? I am not too worried about it long term but just trying to see if it is a known issue.

Thanks.

I would take it back to the dealer and have it inspected.

I'd check the engine oil level and go from there...definitely not normal
Can you attach pics?

I will guess dip stick left out at some point. Or was loose.
