Well mini update I dropped it off Monday , after a bunch of calls as the guy handling it was not in, but it got figured out. I asked them too look at the protruding front fender I have and flaking paint around the tailgate. Got a call yesterday that they finally got around to a painting , so we will see Monday what they managed to do over 8 days if it's actually ready by then.

Good on you for handling it well man.

If it makes you feel any better, Ford didn't have any loaners when this happened to me, so I pushed hard for them to cover an Enterprise rental.

Guess what- Enterprise didn't have any cars either. Said they'd have one at 6pm. Came back at 6, customer had decided to extend their reservation. Another one was supposed to come back at 10 the next morning. Ended up getting a 2WD LT Colorado and I still had to pay the deposit out of my own pocket and give them a credit card. The whole time I was regretting not keeping my Ranger, but driving that boring Colorado for 3 days made me appreciate our FAR superior cabin design and the way our turbo hooks up.

Whelp, Monday came and went, I called them today and the service advisor that has worked with me is out today and they said they will call me back tomorrow, prodded them to see if it was actually done or not today with no success, the waiting game continues.

Well got it back yesterday, they did a good job filling the gouge in the metal and painting it , unfortunately they did not look at the other body issue I had originally asked to look at that being my front fascia above the bumper is protruding from the fender, although someone did mark the area with a yellow dot and there is more paint missing from the top of it then before so maybe the just gave up.

I guess they just got it done yesterday since they told me not to clean it for 2 days, I did clean the windows today since they were covered in residue and unfortunately uncovered a scratch on the driver side window, I had taken pictures of the truck before dropping off but unfortunately no close ups of that window:rolleyes:.

I'm sure it would be another 2 week ordeal if they even agreed do anything about it so I will have to think about it especially since I need to use the truck today.

So I guess very lukewarm result out of all this and in summary 2 weeks to repair dealer caused damage without any of the original warranty issues looked at with possibly more dealer caused damage.

Thanks for everyone's input and entertaining thoughts!

Even more overspray to clean up
