I cannot speak for others but for me it was just a job I did for close to 21 years

I've a profound respect for ALL military members, active, retired and deceased.
I was a government civil servant as a firefighter with nearly 29 years of service, retired July 2018.
It was the most satisfying, fun and yet challenging occupation ever !
