Make Lariat DRLs flash

Upgrading to the Lariat headlamps, Im wanting to make the DRL stips alternate on an external LED flasher. WIth the upgrade im loosing the LED hidewaways that I installed in the XL headlamps. I've seen the wiring diagram and know how to install it, just wonder if it will jack with the light, bcm or if i cut the wire and install the flasher direct will it throw a code.

I was able to do this with an isolation flasher from wicked warnings.

im sure the F150 video would have given you a pretty good f-n idea what was going to transpire in a light show.
