After seeing the Keko Sport Bar on a Ranger from Brazil, I took the plunge and installed the Keko Sport Bar on my 2022 Ranger Tremor.
Positives:
-It bolted into the existing bolt holes in the front of the bed;
-Not many parts to put together;
-Made in Brazil, not China
-Solid Fold 2.0 tonneau cover was able to fit
-Nuts were pre-installed in all the pieces
Negatives
-Bolts were difficult to get lined up and started;
-Guard for rear window would not fit the pre-designed attachment points;
-Instructions could’ve been more clear;
-Good idea to have a second set of hands;
-Keko provided adhesive pads but nothing in the instructions as to what they were for. Fortunately YouTube had a video that explained their use to prevent wear to the bed caps
Overall, it took me three and a half hours to get it put together and installed in 36-degree Iowa weather by myself. I struggled to get bolts started on the attachments to the sport bar as the holes on the parts to be attached wouldn’t align properly with the installed nuts. Keko claims that most soft tonneau covers wii fit but hard covers won’t fit. My Solid Fold 2.0 fit though I had to add an additional seal on the front of the bed.
I like the fact it bolted into the existing bolt holes in the bed of my Ranger. I looked at several sports bars on Amazon and while some were cheaper, they either attached with clamps to the inner bed rail, or you had to drill into the bed rail to mount the sport bar. Most were made in China, which didn’t thrill me. The powder coating on the Keko appears to be robust (we’ll see how it holds up over time).
I will admit, I wasn’t so pleased when the box arrived as it was pretty beat-up. However, the parts were well wrapped so there was no damage. Overall I’m pretty pleased how it turned out.
