Noticed today my window controls for all 4 of my windows on the driver's door does not work. I can operate all the passenger windows with their controls but but drivers window does not go up or down and it will not control the other windows. The window lock control doesn't seem to work aswell. Any idea what this can be. Really aggravating that I'm at 39k miles and now have this problem that I can't roll my window down .

It seems like the connector is disconnected. I would take it in and have it fixed.

Hi Evan,

Your owner's manual covers a process to reset your windows. This may be what you need to reenable your window function...

Resetting the Memory of the
Electric Windows - Vehicle with
One Touch Up/Down on Driver
Side only
Note: The bounce back feature remains
turned off until you reset the memory.
In the event of a flat battery or after the
battery is disconnected from the vehicle,
you must reset the memory for the driver
window.
1. Open the window and then try to close
it using the one-touch feature.
2. Lift and hold the switch to the second
action point until you fully close the
window.
3. Lift and hold the switch for more than
two seconds and release.
4. Open the window using the first action
point and try to close it automatically
using the second action point.
5. If the window does not open or close
automatically when you press the
switch or lift it to the second action
point, repeat the procedure.

Hope this helps.

Best,

Before you go tearing panels off I would try a simple battery reset, just unplug the neg battery terminal for a few minutes then reconnect to reset the control modules. If the problem is not fixed or returns a short time later then its dealership time. They may be able to look at it under warranty since its so close to the 36K miles. I've had that done before.

Went to the local dealership the other day. They said they believe the control unit for the windows went out on the driver's door. Said it'll be about $400 to fix it. Really sucks that this happened right after I hit 36k miles. Hopefully I don't have any other electrical issues but now I'll always worry.

How would I go about doing that. Got up this morning to head for work and realized my front passenger door lock isn't working now so that door won't lock at all. It's starting to make me want to trade it on now.
