Looking to install one on my 2019 Ranger Lariat. I'm wanting a nice, low profile, clean installation while minimizing additional weight, so this looks like the way to go. Was just going to go with Rough Country 9500 pound winch with synthetic line that they also sell on their website. Couple of questions for those who have done the 589 install:
1. What do you do for a front license plate holder? This is a CA registered vehicle so it needs a front plate.
2. For ACC relocation, I was going to just use existing mount and move it up and towards drivers side. This working for those who have done it? My front grill is the blacked out factory unit with blue oval.
For license plate mount, I figure worst case is I can mount a flip up one to steel "bumper" right above winch, but that would require drilling holes, unless there is some clever clamp on version I'm not familiar with.
After reading a bunch of threads, I'm not seeing the need to buy a custom ACC relo mount. Depending on where I can get it to fit, if the existing mount needs help, I can fab something up pretty easily I'd think. I understand it needs to be a solid, level mount.
