Hi all. So the dealer I was thinking about buying a 2022 Cactus Grey STX for 36k OTD a few weeks ago is doing 0% APR for 60 months with 1k bonus cash. If I could get that additional 1k bonus cash and 0% APR instead of my original offer and do 35k OTD 0% APR 60 mo, would that be a better deal since no interest?

Also, I’m coming from my very first car when I was 16, a 2003 Cavalier with 198k miles so I’m not sure what to expect in terms of a good price vs. being ripped off nowadays, I have never shopped for a car before. Should I hop on that if they approve it, or if they stick to the original offer of 36k OTD (2.25% APR)? Thoughts on what you would ideally pay for this? Obviously no interest is best but just looking at my options.I’m not in a need now pay now situation but seriously considering it if the opportunity presents itself.

Attached is the sticker.

Attached is the window sticker.

MSRP: 33600

OTD: 35000

Down Payment: 3600

Total Finance: 31400

Options: STX Appearance, Special edition, tow package, Running boards, and reverse sensing.

I appreciate all your info.

I don't know your location, but in S Florida I pulled this off autotrader. The dealer advertised $3400 off. A little different Ranger, but close, but it seems that more and more Rangers are out there on lots now. As always, the devils in the details. If possible, find someone to help you (friend, parent of a friend) real time. Sometimes the good deals are too good to be true, and it helps to have someone read a contract if you never have. If nothing else, have them email it to you so you can read it x5. my 2 cents, good luck.

Oh man fuck Parks dealers. I’m in Centralish FL. I see those “low” prices too but they include a $2k “Parks Plus Program” which you HAVE to get. So I think that is how they reel people in. I have called many times and tried to see if I can waive that option and they say no it’s included on all vehicles. I just want to get the most bang for my buck without being ripped off by “market adjustment”.

FWIW I bought mine in JAX, because I couldn't find the truck I wanted here in S FL. You have to look around. Good luck, and it sounds like you are on a good path.

I do like this one and it’s local. Don’t mind it has vinyl floor mats…easy to clean and as a first “new” car it fits all my needs. No crazy towing or anything. I just feel they could do a little bit better and they won’t lol. I mean they sell enough F-150s at mark up…what does a few off the top for a Ranger really matter if they get my business.

Oh well. Ill float the 35k to them and see what they say.

What did you get for your XLT?
