2020 Ranger inner fender liner removal

Hi Folks,

I have a 2020 Ranger that I need to remove the inner fender liner from and have run into a snag. I removed all of the plastic retainer clips but for some reason the liner refuses to slide out from the fender. I can reach up from the back side and it feels almost like pins/pegs sticking up through the liner preventing me from sliding the liner out. I have removed all of the retainer pins from the fender lip so I'm confused what is holding the liner in place and how to remove it. Any suggestions/info are appreciated.
