12 V from Aux pin # 4 to trailer to charge battery

2030 Ranger XL, tow package, aftermarket controller.

hooker to wolf pup toy hauler with electric brakes and 12 V fridge.

everything works brakes, turn signals, lights.

For two years activated trailer module, in tow mode , step on brakes,rev engine voltage in trailer went up, 12V charging.

this trip not charging, did everything same checked 3x , 12.4 V what happened?

some stupid fuses are in 2nd tier of under hood fuse box that is pain in ass to unclip.

vast majority of the time, it's a problem on the trailer.

have you looked into the status of the charger on your trailer? I assume the trailer has a dc-dc charger to handle this.

also, what sort of battery is on your trailer? I only got about 3yrs on the AGM battery on my camper.

Are you certain that all the wiring on your trailer is good?

Anytime you have weird things happening on a trailer, first thing to check is grounding. A lot of trailers use a bolt and wire lug on the frame for a ground, which often gets corroded.
