Just had this done at my dealer as well after having issues between 3-4 gear. Sitting right at 63K (of course, 3K over) but have an extended warranty. The service writer stated, "Don't worry, if the transmission is going bad you'd definitely have codes popping up. Just let it relearn for 500...
I'm hoping the reset fixes mine as well but I'm not too confident based on what others have experienced. It seems like 70% of the time I get the 2-4 shift but when I do go from 2-3-4, the 3 to 4 is delayed in engagement, almost like it's slipping. My RPMs will drop for a second and then pick...
I have a 2019 Lariat with 62,000 miles (of course, 2,000 miles past the powertrain warranty) that is starting to experience some rough shifts between third and fourth gear. It only happens 30-40% of the time, but it's almost like a delayed engagement for up to a second. It also seems to be after...
I'm so glad I found this thread because I've started to notice the same thing with my Ranger.
I'm feeling the same thing you are, and it always happens around 2100 RPM for me while going uphill. It almost feels like the truck wants to start misfiring, but never quite gets to that point. It...
I can understand your frustration completely. I'm actually tempted to order the LUXX series at this point with the built-in LED bulbs. I know they're not replaceable if something goes wrong, but with the way it's looking I'm not sure if drop-in bulbs are the way to go either on these.
Finally got my Ranger back today! She's running like a champion. For anyone else who may come across this problem, the TSB # is 21-2147.
I opened up the hood after I got home and to my surprise, I noticed that they installed an engine cover! I'm assuming it's part of the TSB to help prevent...
Really thinking about pulling the trigger on these! Would you recommend these bulbs since I can't find the ones you bought?
And how hard was the installation?
So the dealer called and told me what was up with my Ranger. Turns out I'm having the exact same problem Daniel is having, word for word. Somehow water got into the plug around the first cylinder and just started shorting it out. Parts have been ordered and I should have my Ranger back by the...
Yeah, I take this route every day. I drive it pretty spirited too, so no pussyfooting unless I have to.
I've been using 89 octane since I got the truck.
Hey all!
I've had my '19 Ranger XLT for just about a year now and just now ran into my first major problem. On my way to work the other morning, I stepped down on the gas to go up a mountain and my engine started misfiring. The check engine light came on and started flashing. I pulled over...
Whatever’s causing the sound in mine is independent of speed or engine load unfortunately ? I’ll talk to my service department when I take it in for the next oil change. I just don’t like the idea of them potentially getting into the dash, but it’s starting to aggravate me and I have no clue...
This is on the driver’s side unfortunately. It sounds like it’s directly above the steering wheel where the defroster vent is. Going around curves, it sounds like a piece of plastic is moving/scraping against something. I’m hoping a clip or something didn’t break somehow.
Over the past few hundred miles, I’ve noticed a sound coming from the top of my dash on the driver’s side when taking curves. It almost sounds like a piece of plastic is loose and is scraping or moving around. I’ve seen people on here talking about the plastic behind the rear view mirror, but...
