Unfortunately not. I sold the ford for a Tacoma that has its own issues. I was reading that it could be the ac drain hidden in between the engine and fire wall. Or it could’ve been the windshield leak. The truck floor mats were Ruined and I was starting to notice other things about the truck...
water leaks suck! If you have the money take it an independent shop. They can probably fix it quicker than the stealership. I was tired of getting jerked around by the dealers in my area. Leaking windshield.
Yes the stock EB 2.3 makes more power. But the engine is pushed to its limits to make all that power. How will 4 cylinders that are stressed all the time hold up over 300k miles compared to 6 cylinders that aren’t pushed/strained closer to the limits i wonder?
Yes the ranger has a low skirt...
Well I’ll keep this account in case you guys need I put with anything! I have nothing but knowledge to offer. It’s been swell so far ranger forums. I can be the mediator between rangers and tacoma.
it makes roughly the same amount of power as the 3.6 pentastar??…. It’s just the tuning of the...
what bunch of different designs over the years! My father told my how horrible it was driving his old beetle with the shifter in the steering column.. looking to get my riders permit soon or get an OR bike of some kind.
It’s officially done…
I uploaded the tune from valley runner and the results were phenomenal. Feels like I’m driving a 4.2 f150 manual.
22 mpg average ;)
How to tell if your ford ranger likes eating tacos:
1. open your hood 2. grab taco. 3. Put taco in front of intake scoop. If the taco gets sucked in, your truck like tacos also.
Hey guys
I have all this stuff I was going to use my ranger plus the tune for sale if anyone is interested!
this includes a K and N air filter, and normal motorcraft factory air filter,
A tuner with the 92 octane ford performance tune already downloaded to the Pro cal tool. One...
Okay maybe comparing a boosted smaller engine to a naturally aspirated is not a good clear example for this forum lol. I understand the physics of a automobile. Thank you for the equations and the google search info. It’s a “truck” not a sports car. Hopefully everyone has a good understanding of...
In general I feel that Engines with more Hp and less torque do better at the higher RPM range. And engines with more torque and less HP prefer the lower end? That is if you were comparing the 2.3 eco boost with the 3.5 atkinson. This has been pattern I have noticed over the years. Maybe...
My guess would ultimately have to be for fuel economy. Which ultimately backfires in any situation. If a car makes less power, and the size of the car and weight are the same, then it’s going to get worse gas mileage over one that is more powerful. This being the “overpowered” engine has to work...
I think they might replace the carpets. But the other stuff I will most likely have to deal with. I only have one year before the warranty is up and none of the issues I have with the truck are “real” issues to dealer. Yet….. Not wanting to wait to get my truck back. I usually give cars 1-2...
