The driver-side window switch unit is available in all kinds of places... but it's the passenger one I need, and looks like I'm ordering a non-Ford part via Rock Auto
Well, my Tasca order is a no-go, per this email:
"Part EB3Z14529AA is currently on national backorder with the automotive manufacturer and has no estimated date of resupply. We do not currently have this item in stock at our warehouse and are unable to acquire it at this time. Unfortunately...
Yep, there it is! THANKS! I had just placed an order with Tasca Parts for the elusive Ford switch. If they get back to me with the usual Not Available message, I will order from RockAuto. Great to see that someone other than Ford is making these parts, and thanks for cluing me in to Rock Auto...
Wow, there it is! THANKS!
I went to eBay and found all kinds of power window switches, including the driver-side cluster of switches for the 5g, but no passenger one (same as back seat ones).
-- EDIT 10/16/23: RESOLVED COURTESY OF PART AVAILABLE AT ROCK AUTO --
I've been trying to find a passenger-side power window switch (Ford part EB3Z-14529-AA) for my 2019 XLT 4-dr. Due to "supply chain shortages," strikes, the alignment of the planets, etc, Ford doesn't have any in stock...
Has anybody figured out how to adjust privacy settings to reduce Google collection and use of some data? The Android Auto app on my phone doesn't offer ANY settings. The Settings on the Sync touchscreen provides only limited setting capabilities.
I'm fine with location and speed being used --...
Hey everyone,
I got a new phone and went to set it up with Android Auto, then encountered the disturbing Sync screen, below.
I really don't care if location is known, which might be needed for using Waze on the screen. The other stuff is weird. Who wants their insurance company or somebody's...
I've had Falken Wildpeak 265/70R17 115T's on my 2019 Ranger XLT 4x4 for 2 years now. There is only maybe 1/4 inch clearance from control arm, but it's never rubbed. I ordered tires from Amazon and got them installed at Pep Boys. This might be the only reason to go to Pep Boys for service...
Thanks, Jesse -- one other question: did you get the hotspot from Verizon directly? They are for sale on Amazon but might be GSM-only when bought there (i.e., unable to use Verizon's legacy CDMA network, while it still lasts...)
Hey everyone: I'm canceling the AT&T service -- actually making sure that when it expires, I won't be charged for another year.
To do so, website is https://myvehicle.att.com -- you'll need to login to get the phone number assigned to your truck.
Then call (866) 595-0191, make it clear that...
Hi Jesse,
Would you mind sharing what hotspot you use, the approximate range of it when you're outside of your RV, and the approx cost of the service?
Verizon (or carrier using Verizon) is the direction I want to go with my new Ranger hotspot...
Thanks, Erik
THANKS to everyone for the great advice, with an extra shout-out to PorpoiseHork, who confirmed my suspicions about throttling with his AT&T head-to-head test.
And now I'm humbly requesting some more advice for a new in-car WiFi hotspot. Anybody using one?
Background:
My Ranger hotspot is...
Hey everyone,
I've subscribed to the AT&T WiFi hotspot service in my Ranger for nearly two years now.
Over the past year, the hotspot has become more and more useless, as the speeds it provides are often very, very slow. The slow speeds are in areas that should have excellent cell coverage...
Shortly after I bought my 2019 XLT 4x4, I put 265/70-17s Falken Wildpeaks on it and a 2in lift on the front. I've been averaging 15-16 mpg on it, making my Ranger the the most thirsty 4-cyl I've ever owned.
I didn't check MPG before the tire & lift, so I have no idea how "normal" this is for...
**** RESOLVED ****
My phone's USB port somehow got set to charging only. I set it back to where it should have been... see below.
Thank you all for your advice! ??
