Seems to be some confusion at the dealership. Does the 2024 Ranger Lariat with tow package have an electric brake controller integrated with the truck? it has the whole brake profile setup in the electronic interface.

Thanks all. Going to do the USB update and see how it goes. BTW, in your experience, how long should an update over WiFi take? In the past I would connect to the WiFi through my phone to perform an update on my drive to work (which is an hour) and it seems to take several attempts.

The last software update I was able to perform on my 2020 Ranger was in December of 2022. Since then, when I connect to WiFi, the search for updates button will not work. I have the automatic update feature set as well, but that does not seem to work either. Is this a known issue?

It was about an inch below the low level mark in the tank. since filing it it has not gone down, but still getting the light on and off. Im going to run it 1000 miles and see if it goes down and look for evidence of a leak.

I saw other posts that Sync had issues with the IOS-14 updates. Ford pushed a new Sync update yesterday that seems to have stabilized the issue. Fingers crossed. Guess next time i wont update IOS for a few weeks.

Update again... The Apple CarPlay worked all the way home from work. Now its doing he same thing as before. Anyone want to buy a slightly used Ranger Lariat?

Update... Ford pushed a software update this morning, and now everything works again. Go figure.

I have current IOS on the phone, and the latest software download in the truck (01/10/20). Tried two different iPhones and two different cables. Same result. When the phone is first added, Apple Car Play comes up, then shuts itself down after 30 seconds and never starts up again.

So, my 2020 Ranger pulled an automatic software update the other day, and it seems Apple Car Play no longer works. It started getting sketchy, then quit working. I tried different cables, deleted and re-added the phone, then tried a master system reset this afternoon. Same issue... Anyone else...
