  1. Bed extender

I've got the AMP Research bed extender, also, and like it a lot for the same reasons as GregP; does a good job of extending the bed when needed, and keeps the groceries and tools from sliding around when you don't need the full bed capacity. I added some black wire mesh to help it contain...
  2. AVS Bug Deflector (photo)

I went with the OEM also. Really like the look - a lot.
  3. Go Rhino - Black Exhaust Tip

I had the same problem. Torqued it down hard, broke the spacer in half, put the bottom half of the spacer back in and then cranked down hard again until it held. Wish I would of applied some WD-40 as others have suggested, but it worked. Just kept cranking until it held. I put the clamp half...
  4. Pivot tool box question !

I found the pivot swing box on Amazon and posted a question asking what the four slots at the bottom are for. Got a reply from “Quikparts” that they’re for certain ratchet straps. See what else I can find out.
  5. Pivot tool box question !

Thanks. Remember that for the next one!
  6. Pivot tool box question !

Amazon swing box is $199. Ford OEM box is $229. You get 5% back in Ford points so that’s about $11 (as long as you use them on something), so price comparison is more like $199 for Amazon generic, vs $218 for Ford OEM, so about $19 difference. If I was buying two maybe I’d save the $38 bucks and...
  7. Pivot tool box question !

That’s how I did it, too.
  8. Pivot tool box question !

It's plastic. They may just be stiffeners so the box can take some hits without breaking as easily.
  9. What is everyone paying for their 5th Gen Ranger?

Hitting these in the order you asked. My out the door price for the vehicle I bought (2019 Supercab, XLT, 302A, driver and passenger 8 way adjustable seats, Sync 3, running boards, Line-X spray in premium bed and the VIP package mentioned) plus all taxes and fees - one check only given to...
  10. What did you do to your Ranger today?

Showing out of stock. Went to Amazon and found one. Ordered. Find out in March if it fits. If it doesn’t, maybe they’ll be back in stock by then. Thanks.
  11. What did you do to your Ranger today?

    Bummer.... sold out.
  12. Spray In , Drop In, Factory Which bed are you?

Had dealer put in Line-X Premium (middle level; has UV protection additive) spray in liner when I bought it. Part of total deal, and got it at their price ($600) versus "list" $899. Very happy with it; good quality, and clean; removed tie down hooks before spraying and then reinstalled.
  13. What is everyone paying for their 5th Gen Ranger?

I’m a big believer in Black Friday. Have bought all my new vehicles then. Was actually planning to buy a used truck, but saw Ford was offering $6100 rebate, and with some negotiation got $5401 additional from the dealer on my 2019. MSRP $40,230, plus $1195 destination, $799 (ridiculous) doc fee...
  14. How to store stuff in bed - thoughts

It’s a pretty clean and crisp install and fit. Doesn’t interfere with the tie downs; actually the tie down at the middle location is required to secure the mounting bracket. If your Ranger showed up with just four tie down hooks/ missing the middle ones (like mine did) you’ll need to get one...
  15. What did you do to your Ranger today?

Use for accessories. 42K points is $210. I used them for the swing out cargo storage box ( https://accessories.ford.com/bed-products/cargo-products/kit-tool-storage-box-lockable-11679.html ). Installed last weekend. Love it. Had to add $30 bucks to the points. Need to do it at the...
  16. mud flaps????

Yes, I put them on. Take a look at the attached pic. They go on the area between the flap and the wheel well. Install them on the wheel well (grey in pic) with about 1/8 inch exposed beyond where the flap and grey painted area meet. Keeps the flap from rubbing/damaging that area under the flap.
  17. mud flaps????

I looked at a bunch of reviews and went with WeatherTech flaps, front and rear. Installed myself. Very happy with them. Good stiffness, without being like a board, and I believe price is considerably less than OEM. Installation will take an hour or two. They say you need a trim plug removal...
  18. Who is getting a Ranger extended warranty? - POLL

I got my XLT Ranger in November 2019, didn't go for the extended warranty, but my dealership has a VIP program that they offer at $1000 which covers lifetime oil changes, tire rotations, 10% off labor for any work, loaner car while your vehicle is in, ... and life time warranty on the engine. I...
  19. Ford Ranger is my First Truck - Need Advice

I’m also (finally) a first time truck owner. First adds have been Weather Tech mats and mud flaps, front and back on both. I went with the Lomax hard tri-fold cover. Good reviews on all items on this site, and happy with the choices. Was a little concerned about the 4 cylinder, but as others...
  20. Northern Virginia

Richmond, Va, with a 2019 Black FX4 XLT. Power 8 way adjustable seats, tow package. Loving it. Was thinking of getting a used 2016 Tacoma, but with black Friday deals (Ford, dealership, and willingness to call three places and get out the door prices before leaving the house, and then...
