Hey there.
Sounds just like my situation 2 months ago. I bought the keypad from the dealer ($100) and also got a 3rd blank remote key off ebay ($50)
Yes, the dealer has to program them ($100).
The remove the trim bezel from the keypad and it fits beautifully on the inside of the fuel door...
Yep, basically when you need the wheel spin to dig you out of something. Otherwise, leave it on.
A guy was stuck turning left from the slush pile that forms at the end of my street. He eventually figured out how to turn off traction control so he could rev up his tires and dig his way out...
I think the free maintenance comes down to the media and how they report 'cost of ownership' over the first two years. Seems every manufacturer is jumping on this train.
Havent used my points yet, but it looks like oil changes cost 11k points.
Thanks for the responses!
Good to hear that's it's not as squirrely as I was afraid of! Think I'll keep the weight out
the traction control will help regulate power between rear or front tires at slower speeds, but the center differential is locked so you should still save 4x4 for loose...
For those snow-zone owners out there...
I used to add a couple hundred pounds in the bed of my 2wd Canyon, but now I have 4wd and around 500lb more with my Ranger. Haven't had a chance to see how it handles in the snow yet...
With winter coming... any snow-zone Ranger owners putting extra...
Ohh... It's burried in the menus somewhere
Settings/vehicle/camera/enable camera delay
Or something like that... I'll have to double check tomorrow. It keeps the rear camra displaying for around 5 seconds so it lets you fine-tune the parking or double check traffic.
here's my thoughts;
- aluminum wheel because they were out of steel ones.
- spare mounted upside down to limit amount of the exposed steel cable to the elements/better ground clearance with that bracket up and out of the way
just got the truck, but I'm enjoying the details they put into it!
1. ability to keep the rear view camera active for a few seconds after I flip it into drive
2. felt pads built into the rear seat belt pillars to keep the buckets 'clicking' against it
3. how useful the touch-screen really is

Agreed - I've used Fluid Film in the fall and spring for 10 years...
Just keep it away from gaskets/weather stripping (it makes them expand slightly), exhaust/high temp stuff (it smokes until it's burnt off) and breaks (no more friction). Your garage floor gets pretty slick too.

Just food for thought: Have your oil tested. It's a great way to judge how much life is left in the oil.
I figured my 2.7 F-150's suggestion of 10K oil changes was a bit long, so I've been getting the oil tested. Turns out that around 4k - 6k miles, there enough fuel dilution from the...
Yeah, maybe my issue is that I cannot tailor these settings the way that I'd like. Every time its cold out, put groceries in the back, or just drive down the road, I'm interrupted with messages I have to 'accept' to clear off the screens. Surprised there's not a EULA to accept prior to driving...
Hey all - first post, so please be kind :)
I really want to get a Ranger, but I'm a little wary of getting another 'connected' truck with a lot of tech.
If you've had your Ranger for a while, could you let me know how bad the nanny is?
My Canyon drives me a little crazy:
It has the collision...
