Yeah, never drove anything other than FWD and of course didnt prepare for the weather we had that night. Truck had no weight in the back and I was going down a slight decline in 2WD. Safe to say I learned my lesson for sure. Very impressed with the safety of this truck to say the least!
Just a small update (thanks to @Remix for the sale and quick delivery). Got the Stage3 Lariat Raptor style lights! Looks better in person than I thought so I am pumped about it.
Love seeing more NYers on here! However, anything south of Binghamton is downstate/NYC to us upstaters (I spent 6 years on LI and in Brooklyn) Nice looking truck! I gotta make my way down that way and get off-road!
What's up everyone? My name is Conner and im 25 and on my second 5th gen Ranger. I'll get to that in a second but wanted to document the small things I have done to my truck and go over my plans (dreams) and hopefully learn more from you all.
To start, i'll start with my previous vehicle a 2017...
I would just remove the beams. When I had my first 5g I had 265/70 with absolutely no issues. Now I have my second 5g stock height and wheels with the same tires as OP and just removed the crash beams with no rubbing unless compressed at full lock. I just loosened the bumper and took the fronts...
So I just wanted to let everyone know this size fits without a lift. I removed the crash bars before getting them mounted just to make sure. I did it by loosening the front bumper enough to slide them out. just in case people wanted to go larger than 265/70 which i had on my first ranger...
Awesome!
thanks for the quick reply man. I think i sent something in another thread you are on. I just got general grabbers and they're bigger than expected but if i can fit them with just the front removal im not as dumb as i thought haha.
for you guys running 275/70/17 on stock wheels, are any of you stock height or did you have to lift? When I ordered and measured it seemed like i'd be fine. Now im convinced I need to remove crash beams and the lower brows which is no problem but I dont want to lift. Thanks for any input guys
