I have a question I have been unable to find an answer for. Every thing I have read so far talks about better shifting but no one addresses the annoying second gear skip. Is the skip improved or eliminated with this tune?
Finally got the fronts mounted. Decided to have the dealer install them. I told the dealer not to align it if it did not sit level or up to 1/2 inch nose down. I think either the tech that installed the coil-overs or his tape measure need to be recalibrated as the front is 1/4 inch higher that...
I just realized I was thinking about the warranty all wrong. For whatever reason I was thinking installing the kit myself would be bad for the trucks warranty but its to preserve the kits warranty. Duh!!!
Just finished installing the rears with icon accordion rubber boots for shaft protection. Now to decide if I want to tackle the fronts or take it to the dealer. I want to do it myself and save $375 but am concerned about the warranty. Going to stop by the dealer and talk to the service manager...
Fox makes their own Roost Shields for the 2.0s, but feasibly, you can use any universal boot that will fit over a 2" diameter shock. These from ICON, for example.
Thanks for your reply, I don't off-road much but I'm thinking the boots are cheap insurance for my suspension investment.
@Jason@Stage3 I am interested in the fox kit but was curious if rubber protectors for the exposed shock shaft on the rear shocks(like on the Eibach kit) is available or necessary.
I had not seen that thread. Although what I am collecting in my cc has a strong odor I don't think it smells like gas. I'm not saying its not possible that its gas but the op in the other thread said it had a strong gas smell, mine does not.
