After trying a few different LED bulbs I am back to the Sylvania now. They don't seem any brighter than OEM to me. The Osram look like they might be an improvement over stock so might see if Black Friday deals pop up.
All the LEDs I have tried end up with a flicker.
Hahah yeah I guess it's all about perspective. Way back when we had some dudes here from Florida to surf. It was September and our warmest water of the year, probably around 11c. We were in 2/3 mil wet suits. They had on 6 mil dry suits and were freezing all day long. Poor babies. :)
We have very mild/moderate winters here on the East Coast. I picked these up for pretty cheap and it extends my Michelin LTX life. The truck will likely rust out though. :)
Haha free would be nice but I did ok for under $500. They aren't even needed much around here but at that price I extend the life of my Michelin LTX tires.
Installed new front brakes today. Napa Premium. The Ford OE lasted less than 46k kms or 28k miles.
Also added winter tires and rims. Looks like a work truck now. :)
We had a VW Westfalia for 12 years and like a truck camper there are pros and cons. Packing up to go get food or to drive to a trailhead to name a couple cons. You are also very limited as to what toys you can bring along. We tow a T@B 320 and can bring bikes, kayaks and lots of other stuff...
Just did a two week camping trip and travelled 3200kms/2000m towing our Tab. Loaded the truck up with toys and gear. The trailer weighs in around 2000lbs. Towed in the Laurentian Mountains of Quebec from Nova Scotia through New Brunswick. Gas mileage was between 14-18 mpg depending on speed. The...
My 21 XLT Sport is now averaging 10L/100 mostly combined driving. New Michelin LTX stock tires(255/65/17) Tire size and tire weight make a difference for sure. The LTX M/S2 is rated at 114, just above stock 110. I actually did buy this truck for mileage because it can do truck stuff and still...
When we travel and I point out all the kooky truck/trailer combos that are on the road I get reminded each time, You're the only one who cares Bri! :) Nice to see some others do as well.
Picked up the truck this afternoon. They replaced the driveshaft assembly as per the TSB. I haven't had a great chance to cruise at 60-70 km/h yet. Also want to check the steady bearing movement but it was raining pretty hard when I got home. :) They found a tie rod with some play as well. Next...
Based on this thread and other info on the forum I took mine to be checked. They reprogrammed/updated the transmission and it seems better for sure. I realize this is often step 1 in the process, we shall see.
The vibration issue is at that same speed as you mentioned. I'll know more mid week...
