I'm sorry you were in a weak union. I didn't share your experience with mine. I won't get too billigerent here. I've just been slapped by the Mod for calling out another Huckleberry in another thread. It's unfortunate that this forum is populated by such people who have their head planted so...
Unions membership has been dropping for decades. You'll need to find another straw man.

One link lists the current coal fired plants per state in the US. The second lists number of EVs owned per state. Some...
I agree with you 100%. My point wasn't about the practicality of currect EVs. It was about the shift in perception of a fast vehicle. The last century taught us that a big loud V8 equated to speed. That won't cut the mustard anymore. The Plaid puts out over a 1000hp equivalent. Big ICE motors...
I hate to say it but ICE motors for max power are approaching a thing of the past. Eventually people won't need the guttural grown of a big V8 to cause them to dream of speed. I grew up during the 60s and 70s when muscle cars were everywhere. They are nice memories. Fast forward 50 years and the...
I heard somewhere that the CEO of Intel said that the chip market won't be back to pre-covid supply until 2024. I'm sure glad we bought our vehicles in '19.
Progress will have it's fits and starts. Our Ranger will soon have an optional hybrid powerplant. I hear people raving about their Mavericks. My neighbors are running their ACs all day now because of their solar panels. This isn't your grandfather's 70s oil crisis.
We bought 2 new vehicles in '19. The Ranger and a Nissan. The Nissan's XM antenna went south right after the warranty period. They wanted almost $600 to replace the antenna. I declined. I now use XM streaming through CarPlay on that vehicle.
2035 isn't the year when all CA vehicles are mandated to be electric. Chevron will still be selling fuel for ICE vehicles in the state. Current EV vehicles are stronger and faster than their ICE counterparts. I'd suspect that the motorheads will be tired of loosing on grudge night to another EV...
