  1. Dashboard Issues in Rain

I declined the car wash test because it was late and I needed the truck back. Theres got to be a common spot where all those affected functions meet. The driver assist functions started flashing just from the car sitting in the rain. The other malfunctions, like the air bag light and the in...
  2. Dashboard Issues in Rain

I had the truck back for 60k service. Of course it was dry weather. There were no codes in the computer. They offered to run the car through the car wash to see if that would trigger the fault but I passed on that. I looked in the fuse box under the hood which is just in front of the driver, it...
  3. Dashboard Issues in Rain

Hi, When it rains, several dash features malfunction intermittently. The driver assist features and airbag warning light will flash on and off. Also the blinker will ā€˜rapidā€™ blink, the dash radio and climate controls will function on and off. The same with the controls on the screen. They will...
  4. Help deciding on a rolling Tonneau

Wow. Thatā€™s actually disappointing to hear. Makes me wonder what the heck I did. Iā€™ve read people have had different experiences with leakage.

Any one have a good idea what to do with the old grill?
  6. Carrying a bicycle

I got the Yakima that fits the T slot mount on the Retrax Pro cover. There was a lot to order and a lot of cost. One of the Yakima bike mounts was defective and even though it had been a year, Yakima just sent me a replacement, no sweat. Very honorable! Itā€™s nice to have the bikes up and out of...
  7. Help deciding on a rolling Tonneau

I installed the RetraxPro. I had some help by someone that knew this stuff so that was a big help. I wanted the slotted mounting option for additional bike racks etc. The cover operates well. Itā€™s secure enough for everyday places. It is not water proof so keep that in mind.
  8. KNOCKOFF Ford Ranger Raptor Grille

I just figured it out. I had the tabs screwed into the grill in the wrong order. Gah!
  9. KNOCKOFF Ford Ranger Raptor Grille

The replacement raptor grill I bought has the tabs across the bottom but they donā€™t all line up with the existing slots. Any suggestions?
  10. Tailgate step?

    Thanks
  11. Tailgate step?

I think theyā€™ve included the wrong screw. Diagram shows a screw threaded to the head. This one has about a 1/2ā€ unthreaded shank. Iā€™m going to call Bestop help desk Monday
  12. Tailgate step?

Iā€™m installing the frame mount to linkage assembly. The M6 X 40mm screw with washer does not thread all the way through. It stops about 1/2ā€up. The shank of the screw is not threaded all the way to the head. Thereā€™s no way it will screw down tight.
  13. Tailgate step?

Thanks. Thought I had seen one but canā€™t find it now...
  14. Tailgate step?

Isnā€™t there an installation video online somewhere?
  15. J0shM1lls' Ranger Build Thread!

Iā€™ve tried wedging the stubby screw driver on the top side of the tab to release the catch. Is that the right move? Does the grill pull straight out? It looks like there may be a couple tabs along the bottom edge that may fit into the grill piece to hold in place? Thanks
  16. J0shM1lls' Ranger Build Thread!

I canā€™t get the clips at the bottom of the stock grill to release. What is the trick? Thanks, Mark
  17. Bed Rack

I did go back to both sites again, and did find the info. Wow! Not easy though and all rack components are crazy expensive. Thanks BTW My Retrax Pro XR tonneau cover leaks in the corners by the cab. Come to find out a common complaint on these covers. Just FYI.
  18. Bed Rack

Hi, I have the Retrax Pro XR tonneau cover. Iā€™m looking for over bed cross bars that mount using the T slot Trax rail system. Retrax website says Yakima, Thule etc make compatible racks but I canā€™t find one. Iā€™m looking for 58ā€ or 60ā€ cross bars that mount just above the tonneau cover. I have...
  19. Aftermarket or Ford hard folding tonneau cover availability?

You can see from the previous posts where the plugs are located in the bed. With the drop in liner, You can spot them in the very narrow space between the cab and the bed. I used a straight rule to mark out the spot inside the liner as best I could. Havenā€™t drilled them out yet....
