It's a 10" slider hitch. Plenty of turning radius. I'll post some pics next time I hook it up. Also the truck cab is about 12" narrower than a full size truck. 750 pin weight over the axle only lowered the back 1".
Thanks brroberts for the reply. Back in the late 80s and 90s I owned an RV dealership. Set up a lot of 5th wheel systems on 1/2 ton ,3/4 ton, and one ton trucks. I know what my Ranger is capable of towing weight wise and how I need to do the hitch on it. I was just looking to hear from anyone...
5th wheels handle much better than a regular travel trailer. Eliminates most sway problems. Don't understand why it's a bad idea as long as you stay within the gross weight and pin weight.
