  1. Towing 6Klbs for 1400 Miles?

I towed a 4,000# Kubota TLB on a 2,200# trailer from WA to AZ through CA over the Siskiyou's and the grapevine with a Super Cab FX2 and it was uneventful. I would advise keeping the speed down to 65 or so especially, as has been mentioned, in WY and MT if it's windy and icy.
  2. 2019 Ranger Engine made sludge

I didn't use ZIP sheathing on the AZ house, just ZIP tape and ZIP liquid Flash. With the low humidity and infrequent rainfall it didn't seem necessary . I did use ZIP sheathing on my WA house that I built a couple of years ago.
  3. 2019 Ranger Engine made sludge

I just built a house in Tucson with a mini split, heat pump water heater, spray foam on the underside of the roof, R23 BIBS insulation in the walls. It's all electric and our June bill was $83 , July was $81. We payed close attention to air sealing with ZIP flashing on all the windows and...

  5. Scout Camper in Sedona

  9. ***Update Pg. 26*** Think It'll Buff Out?

According to the Google It's 60 miles shorter taking Hwy 95 and takes 20 minutes longer. If you're driving a new truck you won't be setting the cruise at 80 anyway.
  10. ***Update Pg. 26*** Think It'll Buff Out?

Unless you're in a big hurry, I would go down through Lewiston and Mccall to get from Spokane to Boise. Very nice drive along the Snake River. Lot's of great history. We camped on the river (free) near White Bird hill in February one year. Chief Joseph had an epic (but reluctant) battle with...

  13. Front licence plate metal bracket

  14. Rear Ride height a Design defect caught tooo late?

The bed height on my old truck was a lot higher than the ranger. I needed a 10' ramp to get the scooter up on it.

  18. Rotator Cuff

I had surgery on my right shoulder after a catastrophic full thickness tear in 2003. I swear I could hear it go and my arm was immediately useless. Took 4 months to get back to full strength but has been trouble free ever since. The left arm let go in 2017 at age 66 when I was trying to pull...
  19. Strange occurrence with transmission and accelerating

That's why you have to have a backup vehicle! Even if it is a "Dodge" mine is reliable as hell.
  20. July in Georgia summed up in one picture.

We're looking at excessive heat warnings for the next couple of days as well. Hopefully they'll open up some shelters.
