The problem is that the other manufacturers seem to be doing the same thing. The Gladiator especially would be nice as a scab as it is just too long, both practically and aesthetically, for some of us.
How do you like your Ranger? I have had a reservation on a Bronco since day one but haven’t pulled the trigger for a few reasons. I have been considering a Ranger Tremor instead.
I saw a review of the new Frontier on Youtube. He was generally complimentary, but did comment on (and show) the huge turning radius. I have also heard many comments on the tight steering, which some may like, but others not so much. The Ranger is also faster.
I rented a base (non-FX, non-Tremor) Lariat for a few hours yesterday to get a good taste of how Rangers ride (too bad I couldn't rent a Tremor : ). The ride is very nice. I was especially impressed with how smooth it was on gravel. I drove up to 60 m.p.h. on gravel (would have gone faster...
I had an Xterra. Harshest riding vehicle I have owned, and I have owned many. If the FX4’s ride is anything like that, it’s not good. But that’s good to hear about the Tremor.
I wouldn't expect a Ranger to be anywhere near an Audi on road, but conversely, I would like it to be considerably better than, say, a Nissan Xterra. I have driven a Ranger on a couple of test drives, and rented one for a couple of days. I thought it rode nice, except to when it came to...
That is a concern for me also. And as much as i like the convenience of being able to toss my bike (or bikes) innthe back of my Ridgeline, I am hesitant to give that up. Thanks for your input.
Thanks for the input. I suspect the coil suspension on the Bronco would also make for a smoother ride than the leaf springs do for the Ranger. Although I have read good things about the ride of the Tremor, and the others with better shocks (as you said).
