Point taken. But as a buyer seeking advice on a message board for buyers, I am interested in maximizing the value I receive in this particular transaction. This will likely come at the cost of the seller's profit margin (as a percent of the money exchanged though not necessarily a dollar value)...
Agree entirely. I hear this constantly. 1/2 tons are much more expensive than people seem to think.
I have thought about this as well and a business I am involved with takes the same approach: 1/4 ton trucks for moving tools and people and 3/4 tons for towing, plowing and 'truck' work.
Maybe...
I've been waiting 3+ months now and still have no build date for my loaded '23 Ranger XLT FX4 SCAB ($43k MSRP before X-Plan).
I've since come into some money and a new track car I will be towing several times per summer - up to 12-14 hour highway trips. I know the Ranger can handle my tow rig...
About to deposit $1,000 to order a Supercab XLT w/ FX4 and tow package (plus some creature comforts). The dealer worked up the attached 'Preview Order' yesterday.
I assume I'll sign a document similar to this tomorrow, though I want to add in writing that the X-Plan price will be honored at...
Thanks, very helpful. We'll see when I walk in ready with my deposit if they follow-through after telling me twice now over the past month they will do X-Plan on the order. If not, will have to re-think.
I will get ask to get everything written-out and signed at the time of deposit, including...
Been holding off on buying a new vehicle for a couple years now. Money is no problem but I'm still shell-shocked that a daily driver 1/4 ton extended cab truck with 4x4, locking diff, and a decent set of options is going to cost me $35k. Inflation is what it is. Enough whining...
I've done my...
Don't have my Ranger just yet but I just moved back to Maine a few months ago. Have previously lived in Portland, Waterville, a few other places. Currently in Brunswick. Great dirt bike trails in this state but not sure about full size vehicles.
Thanks. I don't care much about all the electronics / tech package or cosmetic features. As long as I have cruise control (non-adaptive), the only 'extras' that I really want are the sliding rear window (free-standing option), 110v AC (unclear if standard on XLT or requires XLT301A, which would...
Yep, I hate to have to buy right now but the new vehicle market is less crazily-priced than the used market. I've got a Cherokee XJ and 2010 Honda Odyssey but neither are in great shape and I end up spending a lot of time in the garage working on them. Haven't owned a new vehicle that's not...
I'm in the market for a mid-size 4x4 truck and want to have (1) off-road tires (from the factory) and (2) a locking rear differential. I'm not made of money and if I were, I'd be looking at full-size trucks even though I really don't need one.
I live on a sometimes-plowed dirt road and am...
No idea how to convert my onenote page into text for the forum but the attached PDF I keep for reference might be helpful.
I'm not sure why you would want to only use 16 frequencies when most radios on the market offer 128 memory slots at a very minimum, but for simplex work with non-hams, MURS...
