Got the new tonneau cover installed. (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07ZQR9TPB/)
Really nice for $800. The install wasn't too bad. A little expanding foam in the rear to help seal. I could not get the cover on with my Xtrusion Overland rack in place so I needed to remove it for the...
Thanks, I will paint it. At $19 it was hard to go wrong. The Xtrusion Overland ones are super sweet and made from a block of aluminum it looks like. But they are also $165. Not sure if this is going to be the permanent placement of the jack so $19 it is. I guess I have this fear of the jack...
For me it did. My 2021 had a two piece emblem on the back, the outer piece pops off the inner piece (camera housing) fairly easily. No screws or anything. The camera housing (inner piece) had to be unbolted. My truck was almost brand new when I did it and I could already see dust and dirt...
Also got the BuiltRight bed rack system installed.

This should have taken 20 minutes but took me 2 hours. That is because cheap ass ford didn't put the two middle tie...
Went the cheap route and found some hi-lift jack mounts for my Xtrusion Overland rack. That is the great thing about this rack, the way you can make something like hood mounts for a jeep fit on it.

OK, second time is the charm for Shrockworks. Got my sliders the other day. A nice textured powder coat. Looks much better than the standard powder coat.
Installation wasn't too difficult. One person with a jack stand and jack can do it. The one hole that needed drilling on the passenger...
4th of July updates! I got the Xtrusion Overland rack installed. I went with the 20" with an extra set up side brackets, and mounts to allow a toneau cover. I went with two side braces because of the height and to allow more room for attaching gear.
Just installed:
Brackets stick out a...
Regrettably, these are not the correct sliders. When I went to install them this weekend they were obviously not meant for the Ranger and the wrong item was shipped. Thankfully customer service at Shrockworks was great and they should have the correct item out to me in a couple weeks and pick...
If I wiggle it at all it pops out. Not "firm" at all. I have been thinking about using a zip tie to secure it, but it doesn't seem right to have to "zip tie" something on a $45k new truck, does it???
