  1. Ranger Plug-in Hybrid

Just saw this, pretty cool. Wonder if we'll see it here! Review: Ford Ranger Plug-In Hybrid
  2. NorCal Ford dealer service departments?

Curious if any others around here (San Jose area) have found a good Ford dealer service department? I've called a couple and emailed a couple others about just basic service/maintenance and got 0 replies. No call back, no response from emails via their websites. Weird isn't it? Have then all...
  3. Ford new head of QC for warranty and recalls

Just saw this today in the markets. Meanwhile Ford is down to $10 a share from a high of about $14.5 in July. It says 'cut warranty costs' not necessarily improve quality, but presume that's the goal  --- 01:37 PM EST, 12/18/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Ford Motor (F.NaE) is set to appoint a...
  4. Ford stock down 18% on earnings, warranty issues

They specifically called out warranty issues and costs, and then also said their OTA system for updating 'tech' is great and will help solve the issues. Laughable, my system can't update even when it can connect and check for updates. Don't think that will help tranny and AC blend motor issues...
  5. Speaking of Ford tranny issues (F150’s)

    Just saw this today https://apnews.com/article/ford-pickup-trucks-recall-sudden-downshift-first-gear-aaa03bcd5858b858f7258440a9a4a100?
  6. Auto start/stop suddenly back, not responsive

Suddenly after a 4+ hour drive, the auto start/stop kicked in. Hadn’t seen it in months, maybe one time since I bought this ā€˜19 Lariat. Battery must have juiced up perhaps on the drive. Is the electronic setting for this on the driver console just for fun? If you uncheck it, it still keeps...
  7. Extended warranty for '19 Ranger?

Hey Rangers - I'm sure we've all seen a lot of the transmission, heat blender, Sync and whatever other issues plague these vehicles. My prior Zr2 had similar trans issues for many, luckily I didn't experience that. I'm sure Taco's and others have their own as well. I bought mine a few months ago...
  8. Idemitsu oil?

Anyone using or familiar with Idemitsu synthetic oil? Truck shop recommended, they do a lot of work with older trucks and apparently this is what Japanese manufactures put into their new vehicles. Have not heard of it until now
  9. Extended warranty options for '19 Rangers?

I know there are threads on this, I've read most I think. I also checked out Flood and Granger, the '19's are 'too old' at this point it seems regardless of mileage. Granger doesn't go older than '21 per the website and Flood I believe was 41 months or something like that. Hope I'm wrong, anyone...
  10. Borla exhaust burn/smoke

I know there are others that have replaced stock exhaust with Borla kits, have any of you noticed a big white smoke increase? Curious if this is normal and just something burning off or another issue. I had a shop do it while I had shocks done up on the rack, easy install and sounds great, just...
  11. UCA replace and knuckle question

I’m sure many have done UCA’s with their lifts, I was asked what the steering knuckles on my ā€˜19 lariat were made from - aluminum or steel? Not sure exactly why that matters I guess the ball joint on the UCA but idk, anyone? Also for those that have done Eibach pro truck 1 with just the level...
