  1. Oil Change - So, I was an idiot yesterday....

Sometimes you just have to share your stupidity. I had a project on my Saturday to do list for the past week, project being to change the oil in the Focus ST. Easy peasy right? Evidently not. So I got everything set up. Tools laid out, new oil and filter by the tools. Front of car raised up...
  2. Driveline “thunk” during hard acceleration

First, I have searched multiple times to find this specific topic and cannot. So when/if one of you fine folks post a link all I can do is apologize. I tried. Ok, here goes. 2023 Tremor. 47K miles. Owned since it had 3 miles or so. No issues, including the transmission. (Sorry to the other half...
  3. Windows opening by themselves?????

Ok, here goes a weird one. Not really worried about it, but would love some input from the group if you have any answers. BTW, searched the forum and only found one similar, but old thread. And while it was pretty humorous it contained zero answers. Ok, on the road for work this week...
  4. DPFE - issue on Ranger only?

Hi all, searched for don’t see this answer. Apologies if I missed it. (And I am using my phone so it’s possible.) Replacing the DPFE seems to be all too common for the 5G Ranger. What about the Bronco and Mustang? Are they having the same issue with the 2.3?
  5. 110K+ miles and ZERO issues

Not my Ranger, but my son-in-laws. 2021 XLT Tremor. While we were hanging out at my house on Easter the topic of vehicle mileage came up. He’s got a bit over 110K miles on his Tremor and has had ZERO issues. Loves his truck. Loves it. Just thought I’d post this to remind all of us that we...
  6. General Grabbers - anticipated life seems to be less than I'd planned

Rotated the tires today on my blue baby. While doing so started comparing the tire tread to the tread on the never used spare. Not seeing what I expected. Bit of back ground. 2023 Tremor. 36K miles. Two years old this past February, hit 36K in March. My truck has had an easy life. I rarely dog...
  7. Side mirrors… permanent fog on glass - added pic

Lariat. Heated mirrors. Both side mirrors have a “fog” (for lack of a better word) in the center now. No pics as I keep forgetting to post this question and it’s too late here now. I’ve tried to clean it off. Trust me. Only thing I can think of is, is it something to do with the heated mirrors...
  8. Bed bracing for the 5G?

Morning all. I've searched this forum for the past 20 minutes and didn't see this topic anywhere. So when one of you replies immediately and posts a link to a previous thread.... well all I can say is "sorry." I sometimes look around the 6G forum. And in that world the subject of J Braces for...
  9. Ranger - why buy midsize?

On road this week. Summer time. People traveling. Rentals are in demand. My normal "grab a Ford" was not an option. So.... driving a Ram. (That's a Dodge for those of us of a certain age.) This truck was built in March 2024. Ram 1500 Classic. Work truck. I mean Plain Jane spec wise. V6 per the...
  10. Fitz Stick owner question

Now that a number of us are proud owners of our very own Fitz Stick, has anyone had their truck in the shop at the dealer and had a tech notice the stick? If so, what was the reaction? Didn't want to clutter the ever growing "I want a Fitz Stick!" thread with this question.
  11. Tesla update - I've got to eat a little crow

Well, I've talked a LOT of smack about Tesla over the years. But it's now been proven to me that the folks running Tesla are smarter than I've given them credit for. Never let it be said that I won't admit to being wrong.
  12. New Taco TRD vs Chebby Colorado ZR2 - Car & Driver

If you've not already seen this review, it's a pretty interesting read. Sounds like the Taco is greatly improved... up to and including that previously god awful seating position. Now, I personally still wouldn't buy one of the damn things... but to give credit where credit is due, sounds like...
  13. Ranger 5th wheel?

Anybody seen anything about a Ranger 5th wheel set up? No mention in the article but definitely a Ranger in the pic. https://www.autoevolution.com/news/america-s-scamp-continues-the-boler-camper-legacy-with-the-seamless-19-gooseneck-228462.html Edit: it appears that I need to clarify. I have...
  14. Hotomobil Gladiator - New to US truck camper

Pretty cool European truck camper now available in the US. Really pushing the weight limits of the Ranger in my mind (Never mind the owners manuals saying no to TC) but pretty doggone cool. Wouldn't work in my life as it is missing the one big requirement if my wife is going to accompany...
  15. RC build with working 4 cylinder

This hit my news feed. Just watched the video and my mind is blown. Between his skills, the technology of the engine... all of it. Mind blown. Not sure I've ever been so focused during a 10 minute video. Fingers crossed my link sharing attempt works.
  16. Ranger advertisement

Sitting here this morning getting caffeinated and catching up on my 5G threads. Was just in a thread where a few of my fine fellow forum members mentioned never seeing an ad for the Ranger. Which made me remember........ About 3 - 4 weeks ago I had a Ranger commercial hit my Instagram feed...
  17. MT Truck of The Year... Chev. Colorado

  18. Ford membership in forum?

Often wondered about Ford watching these forums. While my truck has been stellar, a couple of members here have had a few minor complaints. Never any sort of response or input from Ford. Yet check out this post from the Maverick forum. (Not a member there. This item hit my news feed.) If I...
  19. New Taco review

https://www.motortrend.com/reviews/2024-toyota-tacoma-first-drive-review/ Sounds Ike they got the Taco right this time. That said, doesn't change the fact that it is still a toyota. :surprised:
  20. Nice start to the day!

Got an appt. this morning. Was very pleased to see that the business recognizes that something as special as the Ranger needs a special parking space. For someone that lives in fear, and occasional rage, of clueless butthead door dingers this is a beautiful thing!
