My auto stop worked fine for the first 1 year+. Last 6 months, no longer works. Display always says Charging. Of course it worked at the recent dealer’s appt!! No idea why. Did a Load Test and battery was Marginal.
Smart charger would not charge over 12.72 volts. Don’t know why...
I have a Noco 5 and G3500. Both do the 25% thing for a few minutes, then raise to 50 and then faster to 75. I think that’s just the way they work since none of my batteries were discharged much.
Charged battery 1.5 days with Noco 5 to 12.72 v. Seems like the max it would go unless i use my non-smart charger.
Took it out for test run. ASS still not working. Display still says “Charging”. Will do a load test on battery next before bringing back to dealer.
This is crazy.
Does anyone know what Voltage is required to activate the ASS? The Manual says it only has to satisfy the Voltage Requirement.
I still have to charge mine and do a test drive.
I’ve had ASS issues since day 1. Took it into Ford for recalls and told them about it. Tech checked the 10 or so requirements for the system to work and all were ok. Baffled so they were to contact Ford Engineers before my next appt. Then Tech quit and his “notes” could not be accessed...
i agree. My Collision Avoidance light came on once in the last year. Amazing. When I needed it, it didn’t. My heavy braking prevented an accident. Dealer is looking into that too. Asked dealer how they check it. He said, I have no idea!!! Hopefully they will find out since so many cars...
Good luck. Ford dealer can’t figure mine out. Waiting for Ford to authorize a Reset?? Will find out on next trip to dealer. All pre-checks were made by dealer to no avail.
$15.76 for 2 and free shipping, if you register on parts.ford. Just pried mine off after bed coating. May be reusable as most tabs are ok. Drain plug covers as they are called in some photos or Threaded Cover Plugs(threaded??) give access to help cleaning out space behind bed panel from...
