...The good tech will likely come to NA with a Tremor model, the US will not see the Wildtrak nameplate. Wildtrak X is also just a trim pack, it has no real additional hardware over a standard Wildtrak, other than offering the 2L Biturbo diesel with the 4A T-case and a few terrainmanagement modes.
I’ve wanted to do this, I haven’t used Forscan before, though I might have a guy locally who can set it up for me. What’s the process like? Easy as swapping buttons and updating a code? How long did this take you, and was it difficult or technical?
any info would help, thanks.
Andrew
Installed the TerrainManagement button and enabled it in Forscan. While in Forscan I also ran the ABS "Mushy Brake" fix again (ran it about a year ago). Brakes did firm up.....guess I'll be bleeding the lines this weekend.
Hey friends, I’m wanting to buy the terrainmanagement switch for my XLT. Looks like a 5 minute install. I don’t have a PC based laptop, only Mac, so I can’t easily buy Forscan and do that myself. If I install the switch myself and have Ford do the computer work on my next oil change am I...
4/11 @ 5pm: Received a call from the dealer this evening. They did confirm that there's several codes stored in the ECU and will be reading/diagnosing them tomorrow.... stay tuned.
...me a bit scared. My wife and I were picking our daughter up from work this evening when I received two messages, "Check 4x4" and "TerrainManagement Fault". Both were followed by the image of a wrench appearing on the lower left of my center display. When parked, I cycled the truck off and on...
I tried that or similar to it - I could not figure out how to get it to work correctly- I did my as built compares the hard way
Print them and side by side compare
It does not take long - once you get going - mainly if you only look at the last set of numbers - then something in the hex line is...

IF FORD STILL USING SOY BASED INSULATION ON THEIR WIRES THAT RATS AND MICE LIKE TO CHEW ON? CHECK ALL THE BIG WIRING CLUSTERS IN THE ENGINE BAY, TOP AND BOTTOM
I have a 2020 Lariat 4x4 and experienced the exact same problem. Took the dealer two times but finally determined PSCM was bad. They replaced and I have not had any problems since.
Should have added TerrainManagement while you had it open, Simple swap of switch and enable it via Forscan! I added the ASS eliminator myself very early on.
...best deal.
My Forscan question is when I'm selling it should I revert all the as built data? I didn't make any major changes to terrainmanagement or having the splash screen a wild color, just Bambi mode stuff, and heated seats on the home screen etc. The way it is now is much better than...
...down. I’d park the truck and few hours later it was fine.
About 2 weeks ago after getting gas, I got the same as above plus the terrainmanagement was out. It was but the 4wd worked. Again, park a few hours and the light was gone and TM worked.
Oil change last Monday at the dealer and I...
This happened to me once when I had a puncture in one of my 285s...I pulled that tire off and mounted one of my factory 265 in place to get to a repair shop a few miles away and all these faults came on...needless to say, I won't be running mismatched tires again...
I am curious if it can work. First I would check under the center console and look to see if the connector for the 4wd switch is there. If it isnt there then I cant promise if it would work. If it is then get the correct 4wd switch and enable through Forscan and see what happens. Worst case it...
Has anyone added terrainmanagement to a rwd? I'm looking to race my truck on a rally track and would like to keep the rear locker on but would like to use sand mode to keep abs from kicking in when swinging the rear end out in turns.
I can disable abs but then I can't lock the rear and I at...
Since you've probably put more off road miles than most on your truck, I have a question for you that is slightly off topic:
Everyone considers the low hanging alternator to be a handicap on this truck.
Have you encountered any issues from it?
Or are most of your trips in dry areas with few...
...snow storm (one of those preceded by 1/2 inch of ice that can turn a driveway into soap), I had to engage "beast mode" ("sand" on terrainmanagement), I managed to pick up a shard of brick on one my rear tires right between the treads. Long story short, it left a ragged hole about an inch...
