2.7L with 350/400 better have a rear sway bar or people will flip the Ranger/ Bronco. In the past car makers kept difference between vehicles or if similar like Ford/Lincoln the engines stayed similar other than high end Lincoln model. If base Bronco has a 2.7 I would think it hurts Ranger...

Just an SUV Ranger so not a lot of development needed I would think. Frame, suspension and drivetrain a Ranger. Just develop new hood and body past rear doors of a crew cab. Should be a good option. Ranger is fun to drive so Wife can now have hers. A good tow vehicle also.

Would the transmission thump be helped if during idle warmup one shifted auto stick through modes P to D to P and back to D before moving. Maybe this would prepare transmission for a drive.
