Hi all, former 2019 Ranger owner here. Just made the switch to a Bronco and I've swapped out the stock tires for larger ones (as one does with the Broncos). I had upgraded my Ranger to this size tire and it looked great, IMO.
These are the tires only (I kept the stock wheels) from the Bronco...
I did something similar to @ArchitectThom, above. I went with TuffSkinz's black gloss on my black ranger. I really like the look - it very subtly makes the RANGER more noticeable, without introducing anything non-black to the car.
I did the same with the front grill letters.
I am very...
I ran the ABS Service in Forscan, per the video. Again, gave me the confidence to tackle it and thank goodness he warned about the awful noises that are generated.
And... the good news is that the brakes FINALLY feel like I expect they should/would. There is instant response/resistance when...
Thank you so much for posting this video and summarizing the Forscan ABS Service Bleed procedure - I was hunting for this and couldn't find the details.
Just had the actual brake system bled/flushed yesterday (no appreciable difference) and looking forward to running this procedure today / soon.
@shred5 , @Wytchdctr , do you have pics of these letters on your tailgate? Mine is black, so Wytchdctr, im really interested in seeing how it came out. I want just a hint of color.
@BNJF , @brad_4200 , @t4thfavor , what did you end up doing? I'm in a similar situation, just did 2.5" level and Bilstein shocks/struts. Black 18" stock wheels that came with the black appearance package.
Thanks!
Phil S., I'd be interested in your opinion on this new kit. Saw your comments in the other thread discussing spacers vs. shocks. What could we assume in terms of performance and reliability, if this is being officially offered through Ford?
Always appreciate your insights and experience.
It's actually for either remote start scenario (fob or app). There's a setting you can change to choose whether the climate control automatically picks controls while in remote start vs. uses your last configuration when you turned off the truck.
Do you mean you sold it to a wholesaler for $8900 or retail (to another buyer)? Definitely you'll get more if you sell it yourself. I was just talking about trade-in values.
Also - I didn't mention it - but I noticed OP was from Atlanta. I'm from DC. Part of what made a big difference for...
Wheazy, sounds like you've received a lot of great advice. One additional thought based on my personal experience - I had a phenomenal experience selling my 2014 F150 to Carvana. You can put your VIN number in on their site, get your estimate, and they come pick it up. Their offer was $3K...
Amen - I worked with two dealerships and both of them had no idea what the Black Appearance Package was. One told me that I must not know what I'm talking about. Oy. Finally met one young gun who knew the vehicle - because he had researched and ordered one himself.
Interesting - I would hope someone had a stronger coating then what I could achieve with just painting.
Yep, did see his post. I have no intention of using lug nuts not properly designed/fitted for these wheels. I'm not willing to take the risk (real or perceived) of using a lug nut that...
ok, now I have a favor - does anyone have an extra OEM lugnut laying around? It probably doesn't make sense to break up a set, but thought I'd ask.
For the life of me, can't figure out why I'm short one lug nut. Maybe I didn't tighten that one all the way when I put them back on. Maybe I...
Ok, so interesting experience so far. I ordered the black lug nuts through Panda and it's the McGard set, with a wheel lock (bonus, I've used them before and liked them).
First, the lug nuts absolutely scratch up from the first installation. That was disappointing, but understandable...
