I put some bed lights in today. I used the dummy connector from bed power wiring harness. It was pretty easy, I pulled it off and made some connectors with molex pins like @RedlandRanger did. I also put some lights under the hood with a switch that is activated by opening the hood.
Iāve been emailing back and forth with the guys at soft topper about making a soft top for the 6ā bed. I was hoping theyād be happy with photos and measurements of my truck, but they really want someone to loan them their truck for a few days to come up with a design. They say theyāre willing to...
It was a little fiddily. I screwed in the bottom of the backing plate then I pushed up fairly hard and got the top lined up. It was a little difficult hold the mud flap, and backing plate in place while getting the connectors in. I also screwed around trying to use the rear hardware on the front...
On my old truck I used 4 bungee cords to hold my rods on top of the bed. Iād take two and wrap them together and attach them to the post holes in the top of either end of the bed. Then Iād stick the rods diagonally across the bed between the twisted bungee cords. The new truck doesnāt have post...
I could see them getting stiff somewhere really cold. Thankfully it never really gets cold here :). Thereās a lot of dirt and gravel roads around me, so I wanted to get something on fast before I threw a rock into one of my panels. Iād rather something more flexible too.
Theyāre fairly stiff. Not like the rubbery ones you see on tractor trailers. They have enough give that they shouldnāt hold mud or snow.
I didnāt have to drill any holes. The top holes mounted into the holes where the retaining clips for the wheel liners are. They provided a different clip to...
I put the rokbloxz XL mud flaps on this weekend. Very easy to install. Took maybe 30min. They look good, the rear flaps could be a little longer. Theyāre stiff but not so stiff the mud and snow will accumulate.
Iāve noticed that when Iām driving around 20mph that my truck shifts rough from 3rd to 4th, then settles into 5th. Once the truck is in 5th is seems to run pretty rough shaking the cab. Is this the same issue?
