A big thing on putting the yakima stuff on your finance is you end up paying more for the accessories, due to increase in interest abd a few other financial implications. It's money wise smater to buy those things out right rather than put them on your finance price.
I think people are missing one simple point. It's a nice place to rest your left hand when driving. I have had one on all my rangers and use it daily in one way shape or for. I will be fixing this lack of handle right away. I see no reason for there not be a handle there. It's just a cheap way...
If you want it to fold, no, at least not yet from what I have seen. The only ones I have see are the sliding covers that mount inside the bedrail. I haven't seen a cover that folds and supports the riser on the bedrail. If one is made I look forward to seeing if it will fit my purpose to.
All I can say on that is I did touch the green wire, it didn't collapse like a vacuum line would. I think it's a sensor wire. But I didn't follow that wire so I can't say for sure what it is.

My foot is not on the pedal its under my left calve so that makes that look weird, I was taking the pic for (elbow on armrest to shifter) I'm six feet and with my feet in the right position there is a comfortable amount of room.
A note on build quality, this vehicle was built pretty early (I was told it was one of thefirst Canadian edition trucks ,Metric gauges and what not). I looked really hard for major fit issues and quality issues, out side of some obvious parts that hadn't been made yet ,like the fuse door on the...
