In a recent trade deal, Geely and BYD will soon be bringing some of their EVs to Canada - limited numbers initially to stay under the threshold before tariffs would be applied. The hope is that there is good consumer acceptance that will result in production/assembly opportunities in Canada...

I don’t think it impacts anything negatively. @RangerBill and others will know what needs to be done after the battery change and whether or not that might fix your problem. Don’t want to lead you down a wrong path - hopefully, more informed folks come along.
