I was really happy with how smooth my 2021 Tremor ride was after purchase in late April. About a month ago I started feeling the "clunk" that I think has to do with the slip joint/yoke. But about 3 weeks ago I started feeling this weird vibration at highway speeds - like driving over rumble...
Nice hot day here in the Central Valley (CA) so while parked in the driveway nose down I squirted water in the rocker panel holes with a syringe. Water drips out small holes at the front. Park nose up and it drip out small holes at the rear.
Also seems to be a large opening to the rocker panel...
So with all the interest this has drawn, do we actually know this is an issue? Will not having those plugged cause damage? Will plugging them just let moisture/debris in from somewhere else and get trapped inside?
Manually calculated, my high has been 22 and my low 16.77 when I decided to drive more aggressively and mostly in Sport.
Ranger computer reports 1-2mpg over manual calc.
Yes.
Weāve purchased one on six cars since my 1994 Saturn SL2 and it has paid for itself on every vehicle (ā94 Saturn, ā03 Expedition, ā06 VW, ā07 Land Rover, ā15 Ford F-150). Weāll see if I need to use the one on the ā21 Ranger.
Coming from a 2005 Rover to a 2021 Ranger, I honestly donāt view the brakes as an issue. They seem fine to me. My wifeās 2015 f150 brakes are very touchy. My daughterās 2002 F150 brakes are a bit soft. My other daughterās 2007 Jetta brakes seem comparable to the Rover and Ranger.
We've got NItto's on our F-150 and love them. Have friends that used them exclusively on their LR3's for overlanding off-road and there are a great balance between on/off road for daily drivers.
I'm curious to see how the General's do as they wear down with regard to noise and handling.
Iāll try lowering mine but I thought it was riding pretty good. Definitely better than our F-150 and slightly better than my old LR3. Doesnāt corner like the LR3 but I didnāt expect it to.
Canāt comment on these specifically but I used Cooper Zeon LTZ (before they discontinued them) on my Rover and they were an awesome balance between on-road daily driver and off-road. They got me through the same obstacles as rigs with BFGs with no side punctures and I swore Iād always buy...
I havenāt popped off the Tremor upfitter switch console yet, but Iām wondering if there space for holes to be drilled in the back of the plastic surround to mount something over it?
