I tried to find a switch that fit that hole too but ended up with 19mm which seems to be a standard for round rocker switches. I never was able to find a 1/2 inch switch so I just drilled a new hole in the most convenient place.
That is another good point. I've had TPMS sensors stop working on vehicles several times. I stop asap and look at the tires, check the pressure and continue on just like in the old days if I suspected a low tire. I have never driven hundreds of miles at 50 when I know the pressures are all ok...
Could be but why not just properly balance the tire? It might result in a warranty claim if the tire causes a bad enough vibration if it needs to be mounted in the front. You can bet I would do just that since it would be a factory defect and a safety issue. If I don't find any weights on...
Did you see any weights attached? I couldn't see any on the back of mine or in the photos everyone has posted. It's hard to believe that Ford would be so cheap as to ship them unbalanced to save a few minutes labor and slap a warning sticker on them. ATMs retail for over $100. If I don't...
I used the same switch but just drilled a hole in the bed behind the driver's side tail light. The bed has a bunch of holes punched in it already so I didn't worry about adding one more and there is lots of room for wires back there. You might try an appropriately sized grommet, o-ring or...
I'm wondering what makes it a 50 MPH wheel and tire? The sticker says 50 MPH but it's a Dynapro HT 255/70R16. Is it a smaller outside diameter than the other tires and might damage the drivetrain? Ford advertises that the Ranger has a full size spare which means to me that you should be able...
It's expensive but maybe worth it you were planning to keep the truck for a long time and live in a hot climate. Ontario probably wouldn't qualify LOL.
Global warming?
Had to check my history. Try this but it was on a Silverado

I've thought about it. I once switched all the passenger and driver seat cushions on my 92 corvette after about 5 years to even out the wear and abrasions from seat belts and sliding off the seat. Both sides still looked pretty good when I sold it in 2003.
I wonder if the ranger bottom...
Now that we know the size, it looks like a harness connector plug to me too. There's also a harness connector for the bed power outlet under the bed on the driver's side between the wheel well and tail light
If you don't have a bed outlet, the weather proof connector should have a blank plug...
It certainly protects the valve stem but I think the tire ground clearance is the same either way. Everything is still higher than the bottom of the trailer hitch receiver. I guess Ford might consider the stem to be the most vulnerable part to random road debris.
My Lariat has a 17" steel...
Haven't used it that much but took the risk since I got a great price on one with a slightly damaged box from Amazon. I also have a portable compressor I can use in a pinch.
I'm sure it is to protect the valve stem from damage. Chances are it would never get torn off unless you do some off-roading or you're just unlucky. If you flip the wheel to make it easy to check pressure, you should check for damage too.

The AirBedz PPI-105 fits great along with the Napier 57066 tent and is comfortable.
Mine sticks out about a 1/2 inch past the bottom of the fender if you look at it from behind. That's with the tip as far on as it will go without the tailpipe going past the rolled edge of the tip.
I thought it looked like crap with the galvanized pipe unpainted so I took the tip off...
I recently drove a total of about 1500 miles between my home in TN and Buffalo, NY and back. I took I-75, I-71, I-271 and I-90 both ways. There are many rough areas and lots of road work on that route including a short section of I-90 in NY that is unmaintained and very rough. I was happy...
I didn't like that either. It must be because of the combined mirror control functions in the module and needing the dash button input. I would try to fit them inside even if it meant cutting and soldering the wires.
BTW Thanks for making the video. It helped me when I had to remove my...
They sent me a link to the installation overview for the module. The actual instructions are around 10 pages so it seems very well documented. Here it is for anyone who might be interested:
