If it will make you more comfortable, then do it. It's better to be prepared and not worrying about it.
When you connect the trailer, you'll get a dash pop-up that says it's been connected and it will test your lights for you. Maybe a good idea to check the lights yourself, but I never do...
5" drop may not be enough. If you don't have the hitch yet, take a tape measure to the rental place and determine the height of the tongue when the trailer is level, then determine the drop you need. Should try to get the tongue level or slightly low when it's hooked up.
I have a 7" drop...
Well, it is a BLIND spot sensor, not a 'you don't need to turn your head' sensor :)
I'm not sure if there is an adjustment for it using forscan. This is all I found asking mr. google...
As for carfax, I'm not sure what triggers it. I got rear-ended in another car a while back, and it required bodywork, but it never appeared on carfax. We called the cops, he came, looked, and just said 'you guys exchange information and deal with it', then drove away. I verified when I sold...
Oh yeah, the Supra was my 'dream machine' at the time, but was too rich for my budget. I was at the dealer years later and they had one on trade. I guess after my tastes matured, it wasn't 'all that' any more. If I could have afforded one in my early twenties it would have been mine.
And...
Same. When I first bought it I was driving 55 miles each way, so that was the majority of the mileage, and it was highway or straight rural roads. The highway stuff was probably 80mph, and rural roads was as fast as I could safely navigate at night. I worked 2nd shift at the time, and had a...
My transmission appears to still be good. Sometimes I wonder if something I feel is the start of a problem, but I think its mainly in my head after reading all the threads about it.
If a class action comes along for US, then I'll def get onboard. I now have 11 months left on my 5 year drive...
I've owned 2 Toyotas. A '84 Corolla sport (no longer made) and a '93 4x4 pre-taco truck, aptly named 'Pickup'. Both were great. I was young then so didn't notice the seating position, or if they even had that issue then. The car was a 'sport' so it was low anyway, but the hood dove down out...
I have an Oct build 2020, purchased new in spring 2021. I started getting the clicking in early 2024 and took it in to check the actuators. They said it was the heater box and it was replaced with about a month left on the 3yr warranty.
I did the same thing, hit a paver backing up. I called a shop, but then after I few days I forgot about it. If I look for it I can find it, but I quit looking.
I finally had the opportunity to park beside a 4G Ranger, it was even a white extended cab just like mine. I wish I had taken a picture of it, didn't think about it at the time. It was good to see the actual difference in size. I like the size of the 5G, just a little more beef without being...
Did you buy it from a dealer, and did you get any warranty? If so, get it diagnosed ASAP.
If not, well, cross your fingers. Yes, there are a bunch of threads about it, poke around and you'll find them. I wouldn't put money into a pan, and especially a cooler, unless you actually need that...
Don't recall if I've posted here, but here is my opinion. I used to only have manual. I never bought a lot of cars, I drove em till they dropped, but I always had manual. My last manual was a 4x4, and I began to wish I had an auto while drying on the beach, for example. My next car was an...
I've just been doing changes with full synthetic based on the oil monitor. It's typically around 6500 miles, probably based on duration I would assume, since I don't drive much. I bought it new in spring of 21 and have done 4 changes, I think
