I've had a new key pad ordered for quite sometime now. It's back ordered. I finally removed inop pad from door and disassembled to replace battery for now. Old battery was completely dead. Installed new battery and installed inside fuel door for now until concern is figured out. So far people...
A new keypad has been ordered. Ford says battery can't be replaced, but obviously they can be. May use gas door option also. I hope these batteries aren't a common issue. Mine didn't last 2 months.
My factory keypad has stopped working , and when a button is pushed the red light doesn’t respond. I guess battery is already dead? How do you replace battery?
Well this light kit is expensive and it took me 3 hours to install it. I followed instructions and took my time. I'm pretty particular and picky. I couldn't get harness to battery. It was to short the way i routed it. Connected to BJB. Now that it's installed ,I like it.
I’d like to know how to get the gear display to stay on permanently. Once I turn it on, it may or may not be on the next time I start the vehicle. Are other people seeing this?
Ford has eliminated using a scan tool to retrieve keyless code on newer vehicles. It can be found on a sticker on the back of the BCM most times, or if both factory keys are cycled, it will come up on the information screen. This may or may not work on the Ranger.
Mine should of been delivered by today. It took a extra 10 day trip to west cost and back on a train, which makes no sense, and now sits in MN until a truck delivers it. No idea when.
